Busan Art Center, located in Daeyon-dong, Nam-gu, opened in March 2011 as an incubator of arts where Busan’s artisans and citizens meet together to cultivate art and culture.
The Busan Art Center, through its own planning, is hosting a 'Festival of Youth' where young artists and college students participate, as well as a variety of performances and exhibitions and 'Academy of Art Academies' for citizens. This proves that art and culture are not the exclusive property of special individuals, but can be enjoyed by everyone in their daily life. In particular, on the last Wednesday of every month, “Day with Culture,” when professional artists perform, is making efforts to improve the cultural life of citizens by
exhibiting high-quality performances of various genres. The Busan Art Center is aiming to become an open space where professional artists and citizens can communicate through using a 240-seat concert hall, exhibition rooms, practice rooms, conference rooms, and outdoor theaters.
