F1963

본문

The Suyeong factory located in Mangmi-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, is the factory that later grew into Kiswire, producing wire rope for 45 years from 1963. In 2014, the use of the old Suyeong factory as a multicultural space was reviewed to be a part of the Busan Biennale as a special exhibition hall, and it is being used as a new exhibition space since starting
with the Busan Biennale in 2016. The new name of the Suyeong factory “F” in F1963 is meant to cover various concepts such as Factory, Fine Arts, Forest, Family, and Fun. It means the year when the Suyeong factory was completed. F1963 has been transformed from a wire factory to a cultural factory, and the generation and dissemination of this culture will
continue to unfold. Art exhibitions, various performances, and books all add to this meeting place of intelligence, art and culture.
