Merciel, located in Busan’s Dalmaji Pass, is a hybrid French word for ‘sea’, LaMer, ‘sky’, Le Ciel, ‘nature’, La Nature. As chef Hwa-young brought his 12 years’ experience learned in
France to this restaurant that opened in July 2012, Mercier is able to offer a variety of cultural and artistic experiences, through both the French restaurant, Salon de the, and the
gallery.
On the first floor, Salon de the hosted a luncheon for the First Ladies at the ASEAN summit meeting in 2014, and accommodated an event for invited VIP customers of various
apparel and jewelry brands, and also regularly facilitates small wedding and family events (100-day baby party, 60-year birthday banquet) and corporate events. Diagonal green
lines and endless blue horizons provide the best backdrop for experiencing a variety of menu offerings using local specialties and seasonal changes through superb ingredients
and French cooking techniques.
